The Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink is held in the courtyard of Exeter Castle and the surrounding Northernhay Gardens, right in the heart of Exeter.

The Festival takes place over the early May Bank Holiday, kicking off with Exeter Beats music night on 3 May in Exeter Castle.
The festival promises a great day out to indulge in top-notch South West food and drink, learn from the many cookery demonstrations, plus workshops, over 100 stalls, live music throughout the day and hands-on activities for children including cookery classes running over all 3 days.
Under 16s get free entry on Monday 6th.

The Exeter Beats live music events will take place from 6.30pm on Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May, with  top DJs including  Scott Mills, Nick Grimshaw and Kristian Nairn, plus great local bands, street food stalls to enjoy and the Otter Brewery Festival bar open until late in Exeter Castle courtyard.

Opening  Times:

Food Festival  – 10am – 6pm (Saturday and Sunday), 10am-5pm (Monday)
Exeter Beats Music Festival – 6.30pm- 11.30pm (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

Here you will find the VIP lounge with complimentary drinks and spa treatments to VIP ticket holders, the Festival Cookery Theatre,  Exeter Live Better Demo Theatre, Kids Cookery Classes and outdoor catering stalls, the Darts Farm Tipis with demonstrations and hands on activities and so much more.  Plus  the gardens feature 3 large food producer pavilions featuring local South West food and drink producers selling a mouth-watering array of produce and the Exeter Brewery garden bar.

Please note, there is no access to Northernhay Gardens after 6pm on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May, and 5pm on Monday 6th May.
Exeter Beats tickets on Saturday 4th May and Sunday 5th May permit entry to Northernhay Gardens from 4pm.

Exeter Castle is our venue for  live music throughout the day from local musicians and bands plus three nights of fabulous live music as part of the Exeter Beats music festival.

Enjoy a drink from the Otter Brewery Festival Bar and great street food from a host of stalls serving delicious food and drink.

Please note, daytime tickets are valid in Exeter Castle until 6pm on Saturday, Sunday and until 5pm on Monday.
Exeter Beats events start at 6.30pm.  Exeter Beats entry requires a combined ticket or a dedicated  Exeter Beats ticket
Exeter Beats tickets additionally allow access to the food festival from 4pm on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May.
