The Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink is an outdoor ticketed event taking place in the centre of Exeter at Northernhay Gardens. The Festival takes place mainly inside large marquees – so don’t let any bad weather put you off! Enjoy demos from regional chefs in the Festival Cookery Theatre, meet passionate producers in the food pavilions, indulge in the Darts Farm foodie talks and demonstrations, get hands on with Kids Cookery Classes and much more.


Step free Access

Please note that the site has a number of steep slopes and some features have curbed access onto grass areas.

Park & Ride

If driving to the City, please make use of the Park and Ride service. Click here to view details of routes and the timetable. The Matford park and ride does not operate on Sunday nor on Bank Holiday Monday.

Car Parking

As this is a city centre venue, there is no access to the venue for motor vehicles nor any parking on site We recommed : John Lewis Car Park – Sat Nav code – EX4 6PD LOCKING – Fri & Sat 8.00pm, Sun 6.00pm or Guildhall Car Park – locked at midnight – Sat Nav Code – EX4 3HP Other City Centre options can be viewed here

Coach Parking

Facilities are available at the Bus and Coach Station located on Paris Street. Click here to find out more and book.


Northernhay Gardens is located adjacent to Exeter Central Station. Trains run direct into Exeter Central Station from Exmouth, Barnstaple, Paignton and London Waterloo. Alternatively, Exeter St Davids is a 20-minute walk from the City Centre (or connecting trains to Exeter Central are available).

Festival has just a few rules

Under 16s must be accompanied by a paying adult
No dogs permitted on site except assistance dogs
Only food and drink purchased on site may be consumed on site
Tickets are non-transferable
Check the weather and come prepared with SPF factor 15+ sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and clothes to cover up with – or waterproofs!

Northernhay Gardens

Northernhay Gardens is home to the VIP lounge (with complimentary drinks and spa treatments to VIP ticket holders!), the Festival Cookery Theatre, Kids Cookery Classes and outdoor catering stalls, the Darts Farm Tipis with demonstrations and hands on activities and so much more. Enjoy shopping for local produce in our large food producer pavilions featuring local South West food and drink producers, plus our live stage with entertainment right throughout the day and late into the night on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th May.
