Project Description

The Food is Fun Teepees in association with Darts Farm, winner of ‘Best Farm Shop in the UK’ at the National FARMA Awards 2015 and ‘Retailer of the Year’ at the National Farm Business Food and Farming Awards 2015/16 bring a series of workshops, talks and tastings from a whole host of local, artisan, traditional food and drink producers.
  • Sausage making with Darts Farm Master Butchers’

  • Cupcake and biscuit decorating for the children

  • Making pizzas in the wood fired oven

There will be some special guests in the AGA Cookery Theatre with Saturday Kitchen wine expert Susy Atkins leading a tasting of local wines, celebrity chef Peter Gorton sharing tips for show stopping dishes, ‘Queen of Cheese’ Mary Quicke MBE talking through the art of cheese making. Mixology masterclass with Salcombe Gin and other opportunities to meet and greet the producers behind the wonderful food.

The Teepees will also provide a chance for younger visitors to become a ‘Mini Darts Farmer’ in the Knowledge Teepee, planting a mini vegetable patch to take home, and creating your very own animal mask.

For the hungry festival goers, Darts Farm will be cooking up a feast on The Big Green Egg, with our very own home-reared, dry aged beef, pulled shoulder of pork cooked in their own house BBQ sauce, gourmet steak burgers and bacon baps.

Darts Farm

From the humble beginnings of the farm shop hut nearly 40 years ago Darts Farm has continually evolved. Our farm shop is still at the centre of our success, with the emphasis on food that is locally grown reared, baked or caught. We have an on-site master butcher, fishmonger, baker, deli, cider maker and restaurant. We also have a fantastic lifestyle shopping experience to offer. With a compilation of carefully handpicked specialist retailers, all under one roof.
